Hospitality needs a fairer deal.
We’re backing the campaign, spearheaded by Tom Kerridge, calling on the Government to reduce hospitality VAT from 20% to 10%.
Why does it matter? Because venues like ours aren’t just places to eat and drink. They’re where birthdays happen, mates catch up, families gather, local suppliers are supported, and communities come together over something ridiculously good.
Right now, hospitality is being squeezed from every side: rising food costs, energy bills, employment costs, business rates and VAT that’s higher than many of our European neighbours.
A fairer VAT rate would help protect local venues, local jobs and the places that make our towns and villages feel alive.
