The thrush has been very vocal, along with other song birds. Its at the top of the tree.

The pheasant is quite shy, but comes for a feed of sunflower hearts every day.

I haven't posted for a long time. So, wishing all of my guests a very happy and healthy New Year.

The barn has been closed for a week for repairs and maintenance, the weather wasn't kind, but all indoor tasks have been completed, so it is looking all sparkly and clean, following a deep clean.

We have had SO much rain over the last week, outdoor tasks are going to have to wait, although my husband did manage to paint the gable ends and soffits. There are still some outstanding tasks but they are going to have to wait until the rain stops- no sign of that for a couple of weeks!

However, it was rather lovely to see the first of the daffodils coming through and to hear the birds singing their hearts out! Listen to the thrush! The hen pheasant has started to frequent the ground but is still shy, I feed her every day, she is here at the back of my garden, backing onto the barn.
