Only a few miles from Church Stretton you can watch wild ponies graze on the Long Mynd, soak up the spectacular views from the Shropshire Hills, or just walk the 1/2 mile to our local, much loved pub, with open fires and home-cooked food. As we live on the farm we'll be here to help you find the very best places to walk your dogs, ride your bikes, fly your kites or simply discover this spectacular County.

Summer in the countryside isn’t just about endless blue skies (though we love those too!).

It’s about the quiet mornings when the sun streams through the skylight, the smell of fresh coffee in a warm kitchen and curling up with a book after a long walk through the hills.

Thus week has been a week of 2 halves, a few days ago, the wellies were firmly back on and it felt like we’d spun right back into March. But today, The Shropshire sun came through, a warm breeze picked up, and our guests have been out enjoying BBQs in the garden🥰

That’s the beauty of summer in the countryside, you just have to embrace every single season it throws at you in one week!

We’ve hit a major milestone at Middle Farm and Cottages. We just received our 100th 5-star Google review, all within a little over two years. Marcus and I absolutely love our new lives and work here and seeing our guests love their holidays here makes every bit of our hard work worth it.

Our beautiful, ancient barn is perfectly suited for groups of up to 6 and has just 3 remaining weeks available between now and the very end of August.

Nestled in the heart of the countryside, it’s an idyllic setting to unwind with family and friends.

Please note that the rates shown here reflect our full-week stays. While we are happy to welcome you for just a single night, a short visit hardly scratches the surface!
We find it takes at least 3 nights to truly unwind, and settle into the rhythm of a slow living holiday here.

You don’t even need to cook as we have a small guest farm shop with homemade frozen ready meals.
We have rare breeds on site, fresh hen eggs for breakfast, friendly Valaise Blacknose that love a tummy tickle, Shire horses live on site, a fishing lake and a huge beautiful guest garden with plenty of seating and a large fire pit if you want to bring out that inner caveman in you!….. and so much more!

Sunset in The Shropshire Hills is incredible.

With the weather being so lovely as it has been recently there is nothing like a walk over the Long Mynd to watch the sunset go down over Wales.🌅 It takes your breath away.
