Germany, northern Europe, low-lying land - I set it 10 years ahead but it's happening now. When will the majority latch on to the reality of what we're doing to our planet. Heads in the sand won't do.

It's great to have guests back at the farm. These two beauties were booked in last year with their riders to follow the Jack Mytton Way and they finally made it with two nights here enjoying the lush grass. Two lovely palominos, a gelding and a mare.
The mare had just spotted the other horses watching her the top field.

Let's hope things really will get back to normal soon. We have been open for self catering for some weeks but can now offer bed and breakfast for the months ahead.

We are well placed here to offer all the best things about the countryside, landscape, wildlife and great walking from the door.

At the moment we seem to have April in May, as it's been for the last few years, probably climate change making its mark.

Climate change is the theme of a novel written by your host at North Hill under the pen name Frances Brand in a scenario where hilltops such as ours become vital to survival in a flood of biblical proportions.
