A beautiful walk this eve in Brightlingsea, 15/20 mins drive from the bungalow or a short trip on the foot ferry, its a great spot for crab fishing at high tide, a play in the park, summer swimming in the outdoor lido or just a walk along the prom, the beach huts are so well looked after and the kids all enjoy finding the best designs (also a great photo spot).

For anyone with kids staying at Beau Rivage Bungalow Colchester Zoo is an absolute must, we have an annual pass and never get bored! Tickets are so reasonable you can even use your tesco points and you can book a group giraffe feed from £25! What an epic way to start or end your holiday 😎

Jackie Swann’s life size sculpture of a female white rhino is making a grand entrance! 🦏

Made from approximately 900 tins and 500m of steel wire, this Tin Can Rhino for All to Meet by Jackie Swann, will be located in the Main Entrance building at the Zoo from 8th June to November 2026.
