MCF - ELMC - HEWLETT COURT
At our meeting on the 17th of December 2024, Julie Ward (Director of Operations - ELMC) and Beverley Schofield (Manager of Hewlett Court) gave an extremely interesting and thought provoking presentation entitled "The ELMC during the MCF Festival (2026) and Hewlett Court".
I am sure our members and guests have a far better understanding of Masonic Charities following the presentation. There was also the opportunity to ask questions which members and guests made full use of.
On concluding the presentation our Worshipful Master, WBro Alan Fielder PProvJGD presented a cheque to Julie and Bev for £200 in aid of Hewlett Court.

A DATE FOR YOUR DIARY
Our next meeting will be on the 17th of December, which is our Christmas meeting, immediately following this meeting, we will join our guests in the dining room where Julie Ward and Bev Schofield from Hewlett Court will give a presentation about the ELMC and the 2026 Festival, and the work of Hewlett Court, before we dine. Hewlett Court looks after our elderly Freemasons and other family members. I’m sure our guests will also have a far better understanding of Masonic Charities following the presentation. There will also be an opportunity to ask any questions that come to mind.

The Lodge will Tyle at 7pm and we will dine at about 8:20pm. There will be the usual Christmas themed table quiz (for fun) and a raffle.

The price of the meal will be £19 per head, and our Lodge Widows, wives, partners, family and friends are all welcome to join us.

Three members of our Lodge, WBro Alan Fielder PProvJGD (WM), WBro Greg Casson PProvGSwdB and Bro Bogdan Manoliu (JD), travelled to Dumfries on the 26 October to witness the Installation of Bro John Patterson PM as the RWM of Lodge St Michael's Kilwinning No.63 and were given an extremely warm welcome.

The Installing Master was Bro Stuart Fair PM, IPM, assisted by the officers of the Lodge. Fortunately, the ceremony was to reaffirm Bro Patterson as the Right Worshipful Master of the Lodge and was worked in the third-degree, which enabled Bro Manoliu to remain in the Lodge to witness the full ceremony.

Tuesday 15 October 2024, WBro Alan Fielder WM, PProvJGD presented and explained the Grand Lodge Certificate to Bro Peter Gregory in a most excellent manner, the candidate was ably escorted by the Junior Deacon Bro. Peter Moore.

The Lodge also received a presentation on the Royal Arch from the Royal Arch Area Officer WBro Mike Stubbs PProvDepGDC entitled "Why should a Master Mason join the Royal Arch?" WBro Stubbs presented this paper in a light-hearted and jovial way but was very instructive. However, he was probably preaching to the converted as the majority of Brethren present were already Royal Arch Masons. The presentation was well received, and the WM thanked WBro Stubbs for his work in the Lodge tonight and the Brethren showed their appreciation in the usual manner.
