These matters will be addressed with strict confidence.

Please note the Warden and staff who give 40/50hrs per week to the campsite are not paid. They do it for the love of Scouting and Ennerdale Scout Centre.

We aim to give all our users the best experience possible in a clean and safe environment with strict cleaning practices and safeguarding policies.

🌟 1st Hensingham Scout Group 🌟

At 1st Hensingham Scout Group we provide fun, adventure and new experiences for young people from age 4 and up. Our group includes Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, giving children the chance to grow, learn new skills and make great friends as they move through the sections.

Each week our young people take part in activities such as games, crafts, outdoor adventures, teamwork challenges, badge work and much more. We focus on building confidence, independence and life skills while making sure everyone has fun along the way.

Our group is run by a fantastic team of volunteers who are passionate about creating a welcoming and supportive environment for every young person.

If your child would like to be part of the adventure, feel free to email us to find out about joining or waiting lists. We would love to welcome new members to our Scout family! 😊

Looking for adventure, friendship, and fun for your child? 🌟

At 1st Hensingham Scout Group we welcome young people from age 4 and up, with sections for Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. Our sessions are packed with games, outdoor adventures, skills, crafts, teamwork and loads of laughter.

It’s a great way for children to build confidence, make new friends and try things they might never have done before.

If your child would like to join the adventure, please send us a message to find out about available places and waiting lists. We would love to welcome new members to our group!

Due to the trainer being very unwell we are unable to hold today’s training.
We deeply apologise for any inconvenience caused.
We will be holding this event again in due course.

We’re hosting a FREE Life-Saving Training day at Ennerdale Scout Centre on Saturday, Feb 21st! 🚑

Nik Schickhoff from NWAS will be teaching us:

✅ How to perform effective CPR

✅ How to use a defibrillator with confidence

✅ What to do in those first critical minutes

When: Saturday, Feb 21, 2026 Choose a session: 10:30am, 12:30pm, or 2:30pm Where: Ennerdale Scout Centre, CA23 3AS

⚠️ Tip: Please arrive 15 minutes before your session starts to help us keep the single-track access road clear! 🚗
