Many of Beckfoot Retreat's followers know I had to close due to COVID.
I have moved to Plymouth in the South West of the UK.
I am now volunteering my time as a Board Trustee of Emmaus Cornwall homelessness charity. Cornwall has high homelessness and we expect to have increases in numbers as more people lose their jobs due to COVID.
In order to help, we are fundraising by hosting an interview with Raynor Winn, another of our new Trustees. Her bestselling book The Salt Path told of her homelessness and the sequel, The Wild Silence, has just been published. She will be reading excerpts and chatting to Cathy Rentzenbrink.

It is with great sadness that I have to announce that Beckfoot Retreat has closed down. I will miss welcoming guests from all over the world. I have hosted so many wonderful people in the last 6 years.

Our Yurt in the Wood is still available in the coming weeks. Completely isolated with its own kitchen, shower and toilet.
Bring your own food and charcoal if you want to BBQ.

Chuffed to read this great report about our Dark Skies night a few weeks ago.

Almost 300 people saw stars at our pop up planetarium events at Ambleside and Rheged, as part of Cumbria's first Dark Skies Festival. Although outdoor events suffered from the weather, indoor events were well attended and public enthusiasm for dark skies is undimmed.
