A little update from us

Since we left Greendale at the end of May, quite a few of you have been kind enough to ask how we are all getting on.

Caroline and Neil are enjoying retirement and beginning to settle into a very different daily routine. They have already fitted in a few trips, including a short break in Spain, and are looking forward to a slightly longer holiday in August.

Zoe and Michael have spent much of the past few weeks working quietly on a new project. Our time is currently taken up with layouts, equipment, materials, budgets and thinking carefully about how we want the space to work and feel.

This is one of the early concept images we have used to explore some of our ideas. The finished space may look something like this, or it may look quite different. Nothing has been finalised yet, but it captures some of the warmth and character we would like to create.

There is still a considerable amount of work ahead, but things are progressing well. We are not ready to share all the details just yet, although we wanted you to know that plans are moving forward.

We’re open today, 10:00 - 14:00, for tea, coffee and our very last batch of Greendale scones.

We’ve also got a few things to sell off, including glassware, crockery, cutlery, bits and bobs, ingredients, a stand-up cooling fan, a Panda organic bamboo king size mattress topper, and a small selection of beers and wines.

Today only, so do pop in if you’d like one last brew, one last scone, or a useful bargain to take home.

Our Final Weekend at Greendale

As many of you now know, we are entering our final few days at Greendale Teahouse & Rooms.

Our opening hours over the bank holiday weekend remain as normal.

On Monday 25 May, our final official day of trading, we’ll stay open a little longer than usual, to make the most of the beautiful weather and until the fresh food has sold out.

We’ll then open informally on Tuesday 26 and Wednesday 27 May, likely between 09:00 and 14:00, for anyone who has not yet had the chance to say goodbye and those two days will be very relaxed. There will still be coffee, tea and drinks available and hopefully some cake and scones, alongside a small sale of remaining stock and a few bits and pieces from around Greendale.

Thank you, truly, for the kindness, loyalty and support you’ve shown us over the last three years. These final days mean a great deal to us.
