Autumn at Laythams… a season made for slowing down.

Golden leaves, misty mornings, crisp countryside walks and evenings spent tucked up somewhere cosy. There’s something a little bit magical about autumn here in the Forest of Bowland.

Christmas starts at Laythams long before Christmas Day.

From the end of November, the decorations go up and the estate starts to feel a little more magical.

And although the main Christmas dates are now taken, there’s still time to escape to Laythams throughout December.

A few nights with your favourite people.
A festive catch-up with friends.
A family get-together.
Or just you, your partner and a little bit of luxury.

Hot tubs under the winter sky.
Fires glowing into the evening.
Cosy mornings.
Festive lights.

Because sometimes the best part of Christmas is simply making time for the people you love.

Well… this is pretty special 🥂

Our Laythams feature has landed!

A beautiful feature all about the estate, our little corner of the Forest of Bowland and what we’ve been creating here over the years.

It’s quite something to see it all there in black and white, especially when you know just how much work, love and care has gone into making Laythams what it is today!

We’re incredibly proud of how far it’s come, and very grateful to have the opportunity to share it with you all.

There’s definitely a change in the air…

The evenings are drawing in, the light is fading earlier and those crisp autumn mornings are starting to make an appearance.

And honestly, we love it!

Because this is when Laythams starts to feel extra cosy.

Long walks around the estate, muddy boots by the door, a soak in the hot tub as the sun disappears, then back inside for good company and a very comfortable sofa by the log burner.

And when the darkness really settles in, there’s something pretty special about looking up and seeing those dark skies above you.

The seasons are changing.

It’s a little early for Halloween… but if you’re looking for an autumn stay with something a little extra special - we’ve got you 👻

Think crisp walks around the estate, cosy evenings by the fire, hot tubs as the evenings get cooler, autumn tables, pumpkins and plenty of time to properly switch off.

And if you fancy getting into the spooky spirit while you’re here, we’re not far from Pendle Hill and the famous story of the Pendle Witches. There’s something about exploring that landscape on a crisp autumn day that feels just right for this time of year.

Then back to Laythams, fire on, hot tub warming up and the dark skies appearing above you…
