A brilliant display of Cotton Grass this year, even though we've had no rain for weeks.
Historically, Common Cotton Grass was used to stuff pillows. It was also collected and used in Scotland to dress wounds during the First World War

Ventured out for a walk in the beautiful snow and cold this morning to take a few photos.
Saw quite a lot of wildlife about or the tracks of, even in these conditions, our 2 resident deer 🦌,
an Ermine Stoat in winter white coat and our Barn Owl busy hunting for Voles.

Have you tried the new Bus Service 11 yet? Launched on 8th April, the new service will operate Monday to Saturday, running every two hours between Clitheroe Interchange and Horton in Ribblesdale – connecting with rail services at either end of the route.

Operated by 21 Transport, the new Service 11 Bus is jointly funded by Lancashire County Council, Ribble Valley Borough Council and North Yorkshire Council, providing a welcome boost to public transport to the rural communities on both sides of the Lancashire-Yorkshire Border.
