So when you hear pubs are closing or reducing operations or you hear someone moaning to the bar staff about the cost of a pint, spare a thought for our poor MP’s drinking in their subsidised bars (subsidised with your money) making plans that are quite effectively destroying an industry.

🤬 EIGHTY PERCENT TAXATION! 🤬

Official figures by the British Retail Consortium and UKHospitality have confirmed what every pub, bar, and restaurant owner already knew:

📣 Hospitality now bears the single highest tax burden in the entire UK economy! 📣

No sh*t, Sherlock!

When you tally up VAT, alcohol duty, business rates, and employer National Insurance, the taxman takes his slice before a pub owner can even cover the cost of the b**r, electricity, and staff wages!

This new research shows the government swallows 80% of the industry's pre-tax profits!

It’s truly inspiring stuff! 🙄

The geniuses in Parliament seem to view the humble British pub not as small businesses, but as endless cash cows - conveniently ignoring the fact that online monopolies operating out of tin sheds pay pennies on the pound by comparison! 🛍️💸

We don't want a medal, and we're certainly not holding our breath for political competence…

We’d just prefer a tax system that doesn't feel like it was designed by someone who actively hates pubs! 🤷‍♂️

You can’t keep ratcheting up employment costs and business rates, and then act utterly baffled when another dozen local pubs board up their windows every single week!

It really doesn’t take a f*cking genius!

And we’re not asking to pay no tax.

👉 Just tax our industry fairly!

It really is that f*cking simple! 🙄
