Postcode guide to car parks.

• Most spots are filled up before 10am so getting there on time requires planning.

• Do not block gates, access or park on double yellow lines.

• Please note that traffic wardens use a car to move around the lakes booking irresponsible parking.

"Our third year staying at Tranby, this year we'll be having a totally of 4 weeks at the site. I cant say enough about the owners, Ken and Alison, who go out of their way to make sure that everything is just right for the campers. The location and the wildlife pond behind provide an opertunity to see a myriad of song birds, encouraged by Ken's feeders which he has placed behind each pitch. The area is good for dog walking (or just a ramble) the views from which give an amazing vista of the northern lake district fells. All in all one of, if not the best CL site, run by the best owners you will find anywhere."

Ken and Alison go above and beyond to look after you.We have been numerous times now.And will keep on returning.
Tranby is soo good it feels almost like going home to family and good friends.Next time our stay Will be longer.

Other cl sites could learn a heck of a lot from these two. In how not to rip of the camper's! Very reasonable priced, Very welcoming.And why us and many other's keep on returning. You may arrive as strangers but you will leave as friends.Fantastic site which is a short drive into cockermouth and to some lovely beaches.Not to far from the lakes.Just idyllic.Thanks!!!

"Stayed here in our campervan May bank holiday. What an amazing little site - so tidy and well kept. 5 pitches, Owners so friendly and helpful. Fully serviced pitches and they have just added a toilet. Lovely local walks and a great little community pub in the village about 15mins walk. Had such a lovely peaceful stay will definately be returning. Five star stay."
