We definitely recommend the Cockermouth shuttle bus to Buttermere - the parking at Buttermere is really tricky (unless you want to be getting there at about 7am!) whereas Cockermouth is easy to get to and then you can let the bus driver tackle all those narrow lanes!

Ditch the car this summer and experience some of our most spectacular landscapes by bus!

A morning out in Keswick on the K2T Trail and then up over Latrigg.

We had a lovely trip over to Keswick this morning (an easy drive or bus trip along the A66 from Brigham) along the old railway trail and then up Latrigg. This has to be one of my favourite places: stunning views for just a modest effort, and a conveniently placed ice cream van for good measure! 👍🏻🍦

From our location in Brigham you can easily visit the coast - it’s well worth it, especially as we get closer to summer and the usual ‘hot spots’ in The Lakes get really busy, the coast can literally be a relaxing breath of fresh air!
There are some wonderful beachside cafes to explore! 💕🍰🍦☕️
