Say hi to Anthea! 👋

Mersea Barns has been my life for 10 years, and what an adventure it’s been! My ideas for the former PYO & nursery site could have easily stayed as just "ideas," but with my family’s backing, we turned them into reality.

From wrestling an overgrown jungle (with comical results!) to navigating the steep learning curve of planning, recruitment, and regulations, it was a massive shift from my previous life as a primary school teacher and Mum of four. But with a little faith and encouragement, I learned to take it one step at a time.

We’ve been open nearly 7 years now, and with our Glamping units launching in 2023, we’re now welcoming guests from as far as the US and Australia! 🌏

There is never a dull day here. If you haven’t visited yet, come and see what we’ve built—we’d love to welcome you!
