The gorgeous light created by the solar eclipse this week…….sadly I didn’t have any ‘special’ glasses……but it was still beautiful to be out in the countryside enjoying the moment.
Then the subsequent sunset was an absolute stunner too!

The recent heatwave has given our guests the chance to enjoy their fishing late into the evenings…….

This gentleman returns year on year for the peace and quiet the lodges offer him and his wife……he told me it’s a holiday just doing ‘not a lot’ really…….sounds perfect!

Not something we very often say…….but we are actually hoping that there may be some rain in the clouds today……
Everywhere is ‘tinder’ dry…….after the extreme temperatures of the past few weeks…….
The cows were all laying down…..so that’s a good sign!
