Meet the team Monday ✨✨✨

We’re back with our meet the team Mondays!! Meet Ali and Angie, who combined have 60 years service here at the George, they have both recently celebrated their 30 year anniversary 🥂🥂

What an amazing achievement and what a wonderful pair! The George wouldn’t be the same without them 💕

You’ll mostly find Ali serving our delicious breakfasts and lunches in the restaurant, and Angie doing laps around our lounge!

Today marks one week since the passing of our wonderful head chef- Dan Collins, for those that didn’t have the pleasure to know Dan, he has been with us for almost 4 years at the George, and Surya Hotels, longer- a huge character who will be deeply missed. Dan was passionate, insanely talented, caring, generous and kind individual and truly, one of a kind- he brought so much flare, skill and leadership to who we are today and we will be eternally grateful.

As colleagues and friends of Dan, we are deeply saddened by the news, and our thoughts and prayers go to all of Dans family, friends, colleagues, ex colleagues and anyone that had the pleasure of knowing him.

Chef, may you rest in peace, an irreplaceable, core part of us that will forever be missed, tonight we will raise a glass to you- with your favourite tipple- a rhubarb gin and lemonade 💙
