One of the nicest things about staying in Clearwell is how much of the Wye Valley you can fit into a few days without spending them in the car.⁠

Forest trails, riverside walks, little villages, big views and plenty of places worth stopping along the way.⁠
⁠
Head out for the day, see where you end up, then make your way back to the farmhouse for dinner.⁠
⁠

The Loft suite is for those who like a little more room to themselves.

Set beneath high, open beams, the bedroom and living space flow into one, with a roll-top bath and walk-in shower tucked beyond. Just outside the front door, a small private terrace waits for morning coffee, a glass before dinner, or simply sitting for a while.

A rather lovely place to call your own for a few days.

You don't have to go very far from the farmhouse to find somewhere that feels like another world.

Puzzlewood is just down the road from us - a tangle of ancient trees, moss-covered rocks, winding paths and deep gullies that have been here for millions of years.

It's easy to see why it's been linked to Tolkien's Middle-earth and chosen as a filming location for everything from Star Wars to Doctor Who.

One to add to the list for your next stay, although we'd allow a little longer than you think. There's quite a lot to get lost in.
