October at Holly Cottage 🎃 👻 🍁 🌲

Let’s talk dogs 🐕 🐶 🐕 🐶

Your four-legged friends are very welcome at our holiday cottage. We’re happy to accommodate up to 2 dogs, so the whole family can enjoy the getaway together.

There’s a decent-sized enclosed garden, perfect for letting your dogs stretch their legs and enjoy some outdoor time. We also provide a welcome pack for your four-legged guests, with a few thoughtful treats to help them settle in.

With beautiful walks on the doorstep and a cosy cottage to return to, it’s the perfect place for both you and your dogs to relax and enjoy an amazing break away.

There’s something magical about slowing down by the fire 🔥🤎

Cosy evenings, crackling flames, a warm drink in hand and nowhere else you need to be… ✨

Our holiday cottage is the perfect little escape for switching off, getting cosy and making memories.

Tomorrow is our Charity Day at Puzzlewood!

All profits from the day will be donated to two charities we've chosen to support: Mind and SARA (Severn Area Rescue Association).

Some of the SARA crew will be joining us on the day — do say hello and find out more about the incredible work they do.

Gates open: 10am
Last entry: 3.30pm
Gates close: 5pm

Come and explore, and help support two charities doing such important work in our community.

We look forward to seeing you.

When was the last time you checked how far away the Forest of Dean actually is? 👀

If you're picturing a long road trip, you might be in for a surprise. 🚗 👇

📍 Bristol – around 1 hour
📍 Cardiff – around 1 hour
📍 Bath – around 1 hour 10 mins
📍 Cheltenham – around 40 mins
📍 Worcester – around 50 mins
📍 Birmingham – around 1 hour 30 mins

That's less time than some people spend doomscrolling for somewhere to actually visit at the weekend.

Ancient woodland, riverside walks, cute cafes, market towns, cosy pubs and unforgettable views could be much closer than you think.

🔥 Wildfire warning: Help protect Gloucestershire's countryside 🔥

With recent wildfire warnings in place, we're asking everyone to take extra care outdoors.
✅ Take litter home, especially glass bottles and jars
✅ Dispose of ci******es safely and never throw them from a vehicle
✅ Never leave BBQs or campfires unattended
✅ Follow local safety signs and restrictions

If you spot a wildfire:
📞 Call 999 immediately
📍 Give the location as accurately as possible
🚫 Never attempt to tackle the fire yourself

Together, we can help protect our communities, wildlife and green spaces.
