Our Story
Having met working together and travelling around the country, Sam and Steve had returned to Sam’s roots when they saw that The Miners, in the village that Sam had grown up in, was available. Over a glass of wine on a Sunday evening it was all set in motion, two weeks later we were in and opening.
The premise has always been to serve local excellent produce in a relaxed gastro-pub setting, providing a balance between the pub’s history as a local drinking venue and highlighting the exceptional skills that Steve has picked up over his time working with some of the best chefs in the country.
To this day the venture is a work in progress, with developments and improvements being worked on constantly.
