Bubbles Dog Grooming - self-service dog wash in Portrush, open from today!

Conveniently situated at the big car park on Dunluce Avenue (close to the wonderful Smyths Home and Hardware).

While our Farmhouse has a body-temperature tap outside for the dogs, sometimes more might be needed! Here's the solution.

A very welcome addition to the area. Hopefully it will be a great success.

Everyone meet Nyoka — our beautiful 10-year-old Corn Snake.

Sadly, her beloved owner recently passed away, so she is looking for a calm, confident, new home where she can settle again and feel secure.

She’s a sweet-natured girl who simply needs someone confident with snakes, understands their sensitivity, and can give her the calm, steady routine she deserves.

We had some special Bengali visitors at New Year. Persephone and Lyra. Persephone really enjoyed the log burner, while Lyra took in the view .

Still an excellent department store 100 years on, in Coleraine. Meanwhile in Portrush the same Moore family runs the dog-friendly department store The White House.

⭐ Celebrating 100 years of Moores ⭐

In September 1925, John Moore, a trained draper from Lisnaskea relocated to Coleraine and purchased a modest drapery shop, William Simon. With his wife Ruby ( Rebecca ), he renamed the business JW Moore & Co and moved in above the store at 9 Church Street. Just two years later John tragically passed away, leaving Ruby a widow with tree young children including a newborn.

It was rare in the 1920s for a women to run a business, especially with a young family to raise, but Ruby was undeterred. From sourcing stock in Belfasts warehouses to managing the daily running of the shop, her grit set the tone for what Moores would become.

"Hi having read your latest about shopping centres in NI I thought I’d share this with you.

When Apple were in Victoria Sq I took my dog in while I got my computer fixed. After a good length of time we were leaving the store only to be greeted by not one but two security guards who escorted me from the premises as it didn’t allow dogs "

"HOWEVER this I want to sing about. Yesterday we visited Cheshire Oaks outlet in England (Ellesmere Port) it was brilliant each shop had the choice to let dogs in or not and if they allowed they displayed a dog friendly badge in the window. Each badge had to be in the same place to assist dog owners ( right hand side of the door in the bottom left hand corner of the window ) so Quick Look and you knew if you were welcome I believe 95% were dog friendly.

It’s was a Monday and the place was bunged."
