Shay Gate Farm Campsite

Our 2026 camping season is officially complete😭🏕️🐮

Thank you so much to all of you wonderful people who came and stayed with us this summer! It’s been one of the best seasons we’ve had, and couldn’t have done it without your support💚🥰

A quick thank you to the small businesses we’ve worked alongside this season, namely .dough.pizza Scotriso Whippy Pendle and Burnley💚

And a special thank you to Max, who’s with us nearly every weekend, checking you all in, and keeping you all happy💚

We are already in talks for the 2027 season, but we are interested in what you guys have to say! What would you like to see on site next year? A few ideas we’ve had put to us: a pizza van on site, coffee & cakes, a play area for kids, a small onsite shop for forgotten bits… Please drop us a comment what you would like to see in 2027 and we’ll see what we can do!💚

Thank you once again, have a fantastic winter, and we’ll see you all back next year🤩🥰🏕️🐮

❗️ Small rant incoming! ❗️

We work really hard every day to keep our site as clean, tidy and enjoyable as possible for all of our campers. That means keeping the toilets and showers clean, emptying bins, and regularly litter picking around the site.

Thankfully, the vast majority of our campers are fantastic and care about the site just as much as we do — recycling where possible, keeping their pitches tidy and treating it like their own little home away from home🏕️💚

Unfortunately, we’ve recently had a case of fly-tipping, as well as countless occasions of people throwing hot ash into the hedges instead of using the ash bucket provided☹️

We really don’t want to be that campsite nagging everyone, but this causes extra work for our team and, more importantly, creates a serious fire risk and can cause damage to the wildlife and environment around us🔥

We absolutely love our little corner of the world and want to keep it looking its best for everyone to enjoy.

So please, if you’re camping with us, take a moment to dispose of your rubbish properly and use the ash bucket provided. It makes a huge difference to us — and helps keep the site looking amazing🥰🤩

Thank you to all of our wonderful campers who already do this — we really do appreciate you! 🥰🏕️

Aren’t these the best thing you’ve seen all week!🤩🤯

Last weekend we were at Trawden Show when we came across these planters, and couldn’t think of a better place for them than on our campsite! Within minutes, all three were coming home with us! Keep an eye out for them on site, and be sure to follow The Wannabe Welder to look at all her other amazing work🤩

We hope you love them as much as we do, so please take care of them when on site!🏕️

Come and see them for yourself, get booked in today to secure your spot with us!🤩🏕️🐮
