Wow what a night - never a dull moment ! started off with what would have been the farms first quintuplets (5 lambs). Unfortunately one didn't survive so we have a bonny set of quads. Then I found 2 back legs of a calf at 6am this morning. Luckily were quick to respond and with aid of a 'calf jack' Will pulled out a lovely calf. Here's hoping to a less eventful rest of Easter weekend....

We had a busy half-term down on the farm, welcoming some lovely families who helped myself and Farmer Ian with our daily jobs. Visitors got hands-on bottle-feeding lambs, letting out the chickens, ducks and turkeys, feeding the piggies, and meeting the cows. Even the sun made an appearance.

They were also lucky enough to witness a very special moment — one of our Berkshire sows had a litter of piglets during their visit! 🌞🐖 🐑

One family left us some wonderful artwork, which we absolutely loved. Can you spot your favourite? If so which one? 🎨

Smallicombe Farm is a traditional working farm with a small herd of Berkshire and British Lop pigs, a flock of Dorset Down Sheep and few Ruby Devon Cattle, chickens, ducks and turkeys! We are a family run, small scale, low impact farm producing stock for both breeding and the freezer. Guests staying with us are able to join in daily feeding which is both fun and educational.
