We're proud to stock fresh eggs from local supplier Fenton Farm Eggs, a family-run business that shares our passion for quality and sustainability.

Their hens roam freely and are fed a natural vegetarian diet, producing exceptional quality eggs with strong shells, rich golden yolks and wonderful flavour.

They're a firm favourite in our own family. We love their gorgeous rich colour - whether it's for a leisurely breakfast (generally on in the closed season!), scrambled egg on toast for lunch, or a slice of homemade cake. Once you've tasted them, it's easy to see why our guests love them too!

“I adore waking up to the sound of birdsong in the morning. We have downloaded an app which identifies each bird, and we had 13 the other morning within 2 mins.

I know the beach is there but each time I walk down to the seaside, the view takes my breath away and I cant believe how lucky I am to have made that decision to work here.” 💚

Ever wondered where the name Combe Martin comes from? 🌿

Despite what some people think, it’s nothing to do with our Martin 😄

“Combe” comes from the Old English word cumb, meaning valley which is very fitting for this beautiful part of North Devon. And “Martin” refers to Martin of Tours, who was given ownership of the village by William the Conqueror in late 11th century.

Many of you will already know Val as the friendly face in reception, always ready with a warm welcome, local advice, or help with whatever’s needed during your stay.

As you may have seen in an earlier post, Val first discovered Newberry Valley as a guest, arriving here with Nick in their motorhome back in 2013. On 31st May, Val celebrates 10 years as part of the Newberry Valley team and we honestly can’t imagine the park without her.

As she is not working on Sunday 31st, this morning we presented her with a little something to express our gratitude.

Thank you, Val, for everything you do and for being such an important part of life here in the valley 🌼 ❤️

5 camping essentials we recommend you don't leave home without ⛺🌿

1️⃣ A good windbreak - whether for use on the campsite or the beach, it's so much better with one
2️⃣ Rechargeable torches and lanterns - for an eco-friendly and perfectly handy way to light up your evenings
3️⃣ Layers - because British weather likes to keep us guessing and there's nothing worse than being chilly.
4️⃣ A decent camping chair you can properly relax in - to ensure there's no falling over, falling out or falling through the bottom.
5️⃣ Marshmallows. Not technically essential but also completely essential - whilst we don't have camp fires onsite the bbq can always be used to toast them.
