It's great to see the junior lodge in Comber so active. We are proud to have some of our members involved in running the junior lodge and wish them all the very best for tomorrow nights open night.

Only a new more day until our open night!! Comber Orange Hall 7pm to 8.30pm

Our superintendents and his assistants will be able to show you the activities our lodge have been ipto over the past year and answer any questions you may have about the junior orange.

David Scott will be giving an interactive talk no boring power points ect costumes and various items that would have been used at the battle of the Boyne will ensure he gets the kids involved in the talk.

A colouring competition with a prize for the winner and a prize for all entrants on the night.

A penalty shout-out competition.

Fre tea, coffee, juice, sweets and bus on the evening

Also here is your chance to see what the juniors are about and if you wish to get your child, grandchild ect involved in the juniors.

The Officers and Brethren of Comber Old Standard LOL 567 would like to congratulate the ladies of Pride Of Comber WLOL 40 on their reformation of the ladies lodge in Comber.

Many will no the close links our lodge hold already with Pride of Comber with pretty much every member being a relative of members of our lodge and it was indeed an immensely proud day for Husbands, Father's, Sons, Brothers alike of our lodge on Saturday watching their formation.

We look forward to supporting WLOL 40 as we go forward in what is an exciting time for orangeism with the Comber area.

Today the Officers and Brethren of Comber Old Standard LOL 567 we host our annual memorial parade at 1pm. Our annual memorial parade and service remembering Brothers James, John and Samuel Donaldson and Brother John Cathcart members of Comber Old Standard LOL 567 who paid the supreme sacrifice at the Somme during World War 1.

The parade will make it's way around the town lead by our band Crimson Star Flute Band Comber with Goldsprings flute Band and Crimson Banner Fifes and Drums also parading before finishing at the hall for a service at the memorial to the four Brethren.

All Brethren and Sisters would be made most welcome to join the parade. Everyone would be made most welcome at the service.

This evening The Officers and Brethren accompanied by Crimson Star Flute Band Comber will take part in Comber Districts annual Somme Commemoration Parade remembering all those who paid the supreme sacrifice at the battle of the Somme for the freedom's we enjoy today.

Our lodge will especially be remembering Brothers James, John and Samuel Donaldson and Brother John Cathcart members of Comber Old Standard LOL 567 who paid the supreme sacrifice at the Somme during World War 1.

Comber Old Standard LOL 567 would like to congratulate Dr Henry Memorial Junior LOL 139 for all the hard work on getting to this stage with new collarettes, ties a bannerette and most importantly great activities for the young lads laid on each month.

Our lodge has many current Brethren who came through the ranks of Dr Henry Memorial showing how important it is to support our town's junior lodge.

We will have a large representation of our lodge with the juniors at the dedication and on the parade as we continue to support the junior lodge in any way we can.

Tonight is Dr Henry Memorial Junior LOL 139 monthly meeting and we have two new Boys joining tonight. It is not to late for you get your child involved. Why not message the page and we can answer any questions 😁

We are looking forward to taking part in the Junior Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland 100th anniversary parade on Saturday 31st.

On Saturday 31st at 9am we will be having our new bannerette and Collarettes dedicated in a service led by the Reverend Gilpin in Comber Orange Hall and all would be made most welcome to attend. We will then parade off to our bus taking the following route.

Following the main parade in Lisburn we expect to return to Comber around 5pm and parade the town taking the following route

Comber Old Standard look forward to joining with our band The Crimson Star Flute Band and joining Comber District on parade to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day.

To commemorate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day Comber District Loyal Orange Lodge will parade Comber on Thursday 8th May 2025 leaving Comber Orange Hall at 8:00pm. We would extend a warm invitation to any visiting brethren sisters or members of the junior organisation.

Comber Old Standard are the oldest lodge in Comber formed in 1819. We have a proud history and are blessed to have had many great Brothers pass through the ranks and have a long history of family's generation after generation joining the Old Standard.

Last year we were delighted to welcome 8 new members into the lodge and we don't plan to stop there.

On Saturday 8th March Comber Old Standard LOL567 held a lodge trip down to South Armagh where we received a guided tour and history of the area and the various conflicts throughout the years.

The sheer number of murders and manner in which they were carried out is scary to say the least.

The lodge would like to thank Bro Quincey Dougan for our guided tour and for organising the food and fellowship in the afternoon. We would genuinely encourage any group considering a trip to contact Quincey his knowledge and passion for history shone through on the day and made the tour unforgettable for our lodge.
