We've been a little quiet on Facebook recently, but for a very good reason... 🌿🏕️

The campsite has been keeping us incredibly busy, and over the last few weekends we've been lucky enough to have our FULL sign on the gate! 🤩

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who has chosen to stay with us so far. Your support means the world to us, and we're so grateful for every booking, every recommendation, and every kind word.

Seeing so many of you enjoying the campsite has made all the hard work worthwhile. We can't wait to welcome even more of you over the rest of the season! 💚

Happy Weekend !!

Over the weekend and running through the summer holidays (if the weather permits) there will be ice cream vans coming onto site throughout the day 😋. They serve ice creams and a variety of cold drinks to refresh everyone, especially in this heat 🥵.

There’s nothing better than a mr whippy to cool you down on a hot day ! 🍦

Hopefully you’ll catch them just in time to get your share of ice cream - have a fab weekend and keep cool in the sun ☀️

Over this weekend we are asking our campers not to light any open fires. 🔥

Guidelines have been set from the forestry as the very dry grass will be easily flammable which can spread fast!

We don’t want to ruin your fun as everyone knows there’s nothing better than toasting marshmallows over the fire pit - however keeping everyone including the wildlife safe is our number one priority 😊

We will still be handing our BBQ stones for anyone wanting to have a BBQ over the weekend just no open flames. Thank you for your understanding 🤩

Looking for activities to do while you stay at our site ? 👀

Haverthwaite Railway is the place to go !

On site you will find;

- Tea room to indulge delicious food and warm beverages 🥧

- Gift shop where you can find a must have souvenir 🎁

- Engine shed to see how the trains work and how much power they really have! 👷

- Woodland playground for little ones to play while you enjoy a well deserved coffee ☕️

Start your Lakes adventure at Haverthwaite Train Station! Step aboard a heritage steam train to Lakeside, where you can explore the Lakes Aquarium 🐠, hop on a scenic steamboat cruise across Windermere, and visit the magical World of Beatrix Potter. 🌿🐟⛴️🐰

From steam trains to lake cruises and family-friendly attractions, it's the perfect day out in the heart of the Lake District.

We are officially open !! 🥳

Today marks the day we open our gates for our pop up campsite 🏕️ and we couldn’t be happier about it !

Although the weather could be slightly warmer and a tad drier - we can still have fun ( especially in the water).

We can’t wait to meet all of our guests and give them a brilliant camping experience! 🤩

We call it a …

✨Loo with a view ✨

New toilets have been delivered today - a very exciting & rather important attribute if you ask me ! 🚽

We’ve cleaned them throughly, ensured hand sanitizer is full, stocked full of toilet roll , made sure air fresheners are fresh and ready for action!

Who wouldn’t want to use these loos with a view like this ? Though please do shut the door while in use! 👀

✨Wildlife at Allan Tarn✨

We are all so excited to welcome all of our new guests this Friday, the 3rd of July. We’ve worked through all weathers to make this site possible for you all, however what we cherish most is our amazing range of wildlife. 🐾

From tiny minos swimming in crystal clear waters and iridescent blue dragonfly’s gliding over the tarn - to owls and elusive red kites flying overhead 🦅.

Squirrels (think of them as not grey - but elderly red ones!! 😂). Swans 🦢 a mixture of small song birds and long legged herons, amongst many other beautiful animals can be seen on our site 💕

As we are lucky enough to not only see all of these animals first hand, but to also share them with you, we ask you to respect the site as their home for all the time you stay with us - as it is what makes this site such a special place 🤩.

P.S. keep an eye out and you might be lucky enough to see our lonely pheasant Nigel, who seems to be extremely camera shy ! Perhaps it’s the name we’ve given him 😆🫣.

✨Looking for places to eat while you’re staying at our site ? ✨

The Manor House at Oxen Park is only 3.4 miles away - in a car it takes around 15 minutes 🚕 or you could take a leisurely stroll, estimated an hour and 22 minutes (to be precise)!

The gorgeous route is surrounded by fields, woodlands and farmland with lots of sheep 🐑 and cow 🐄 spotting opportunities! 🤩

The manor is a real showstopper of a place ranging from lighter bites at lunch to cosy meals in such a welcoming atmosphere 💕
