Five cosy traditional Lakeland cottages in beautifully situated locations (Grasmere, Great Langdale, Coniston and Ambleside). The Grasmere, Langdale, and Ambleside cottages each sleeps four people in two bedrooms. The Coniston cottage sleeps up to five in four bedrooms. Each cottage is a traditionally slate built property with open fires, beams, slate flagged flooring and parking for one car. Two

of the cottages (Coniston and Ambleside) are Grade II listed and approximately 300 years old. The remaining three properties in Langdale and Grasmere are approximately 150 years old. There are numerous walks leading from the door to suit all abilities and ambitions.

We are delighted to announce there is another property added to our small family run Lakeland business. It is available from Easter onwards with very few forward bookings (so we’ve reduced the price).

It is based two miles from Coniston with spectacular panoramic views looking down Coniston Water and across to Coniston Old Man. It sleeps up to six in three bedrooms with walks from the door through National Trust woodland to picturesque Tarn Hows 1 mile away. 3 Tarn Cottages is currently available for both half term weeks in February and it looks like cold crisp weather is on its way.

The usual price is £570 but a Facebook only offer of £400 for either w/c 9th Feb or 16th Feb is available.

We’ve made the cottage even warmer recently by replacing the old night storage heaters with modern electric wall radiators in November and in early February 2024 the open fire was replaced with a Morso wood burning stove making it even cosier.
