Nestled beside the Burnhope Burn in the picturesque village of Edmundbyers in the North Pennines; The Burnside Holiday Chalets offer a relaxing and comfortable stay in relaxing and tranquil surroundings. With golf, fishing and sailing nearby, or stunning walks and cycling to suit any level; not to mention Hadrians Wall, Beamish Museum, The Derwent Reservoir, Hexham, Corbridge, Blanchland ,Stanhope

and Barnard Castle within easy reach, you will never be short of something to do, before coming back to relax in the peace and quiet of your holiday home. Our well equipped chalets have central heating, bed linen and towels all included in the price. The village pub is a 5 minute walk away with excellent beers and food, there is also a very good village shop, and there are an abundance of top class restaurants should you choose to eat out on your stay. Outside you can take a stroll around the 8 acres of grounds, sit by the lake and watch the dragon flies, moorhen and ducks, or by the burn and maybe catch sight of a heron, kingfisher or grouse. Jenna and Martin look forward to seeing you at The Burnside and whatever you choose to do while staying, you will be sure to leave totally relaxed and already planning your next visit!

After a peaceful night's sleep and a great breakfast to set you up for the day, why not have a day's fishing?
Only 5 minutes drive from Burnside and the weather looks hopeful....🤞🏻
If not you can spend the day in Corbridge or Hexham, visiting the gorgeous shops and cafes, or taking in the beautiful views on a local walk or cycle ride.

Fancy taking part in our Easter fishing competition?

Entry cost £30 for Adults and £15 for Juniors. (Payable in person at the shop)

Competition rules ;
- All competitors must register at the visitor centre / café prior the start. Online permits are not available for this event.
- Only 1 rod to be used per angler. 🎣
- Catch and release is only allowed when spinning with de-bared single hooks or fly fishing.
- Catch and release is not allowed when bait fishing.
- Registration and Weigh In will be at the Cafe/Visitor Centre.
- Registration from 9am. Back for weigh in by 4.30pm at the latest.
- All juniors must cast and retrieve their own rods and land their own fish.
- Anglers may not leave registration area until instructed by the Ranger on duty.
- Anglers may set up but no rods may be casted until 10am.
