Linsmore has two lodges; Oak and Fir Tree which sleep six + cot each. these lodges are situated on the edge of Contin village,in Ross-shire Scotland, located on 1.7 acres garden among mature trees on the edge of Forestry Land with fields behind and wooded hills around. This area of Ross-shire is an excellent holiday location with m

agnificent scenery, well situated for; touring, walking, fishing, golfing, mountain biking, climbing and ideal for anyone with an interest in ornithology, botany and wildlife. Just a car ride away there are stunning beaches, historic castles and unique craft shops. In addition, Inverness is only situated 17 miles away with shops, railways and an international airport. There are multiple historic towns and villages in the local area, offering a wide variety of shopping, culture and fantastic food. Dingwall is a traditional market town, only 8 miles away from the lodges. Or there is Strathpeffer displaying Victorian architecture including a spa and pump room, only 3 miles away. Oak and Fir Tree are single storey lodges built to a high standard. They both include:
• One King size bedroom, Large twins or Superking zip lock bedroom and twin bedroom, with duvets, bed linen. Towels can be provided if requested.
• The large open planned lounge, diner, and kitchen is comfortably furnished including: Freesat, Smart TV, DVD, micro CD, cassette and radio, electric cooker, fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, toaster, iron, ironing board and all necessary utensils.
• Outside each lodge is a grassy area, ample parking and seating area.
• Wi-Fi is available

If you’re still deciding what to do over the school holidays???

Why dont you come and escape to the Highlands and enjoy a peaceful family break at Linsmore Lodges. Which is surrounded by beautiful wildlife right on your doorstep, from red squirrels and deer to soaring kites above the forestry. Perfectly placed on the NC500, our lodges are a great base to explore the Highlands from, with local hill walks or mountian bike trails , spa villages and viewpoints all within easy reach.

Both Oak and Fir Tree Lodges are available for 7 nights Saturday 22nd or 28 August 2026.Ideal if you’d like both lodges together for a full family or friends gathering.

Each lodge sleeps 6 , is dog‑friendly, and offers flexible bedroom setups ( 2 kings and 1 twin or 1 king and 2 twins).
Free WiFi, fully equipped kitchens, and miles of forestry trails right outside our door.

BBQ Hut On Site - Enjoy cosy evenings in our BBQ hut perfect for family nights, grilling, and relaxing after a day exploring the Highlands.

With a direct booking discount - The price for each lodge are now per week is £800 for the dates above.

Our two spacious 3‑bedroom lodges- ( sleep 6 ) sit right on the doorstep of forestry walks and bike trails, perfect for families, adventurers to use as a great base to explore the whole of highlands from.
