An update for all our lovely guests who visited us over the past ten years.

We retired last November and moved to the beautiful village of Rowen, near Conwy. We are renovating two cottages and getting on well. One of the cottages will be available for either self- catering or B&B from Easter next year. We hope you will join us. We are contactable through our email. Betws y Coed is in The Village of the year competition and Tan Dinas love seat was on and the gorgeous views. Watch the semi finals Saturday 8pm to see if the village gets through to to the next round.

So here we are in our new home. It is a pair of 200 year old cottages which we now call Swn y Gwynt (Sound of the Wind). We plan to make them into one. It needs lots of renovating, but more than anything .... lots of love.

What can I say, Eileen and John and the beautiful Tan Dinas are no more, our last visit as it closed on the 13th October. Hard to put into words what a special place this was. Shez and I first visited in 2008 when Eileen and John had not long taken on the B&B. The website led us to this piece of Welsh heaven. Year after year we returned and struck up an amazing friendship with not only Eileen and John but also some of the regulars,like Claude, Marita and Nigel from Malta.
Many wonderful memories of birthday surprises and superb days out in beautiful Wales, Anglesey, Chester and Liverpool. Even a special time for my wife's birthday with my daughter Tanya. It is hard to put into words just how special our times at Tan Dinas were. Lots of fun, laughter and now tears as we will no longer be able to sit and eat the wonderful breakfast cooked by John (especially his scrambled egg with salmon).and watch Timex (The Woodpecker eat from the bird feeders), sitting on the bench outside as the sun sets on the beautiful views of Snowdonia.
All we can say is THANK YOU Eileen & John for the most wonderful times and memories. God bless and good luck on you new adventure.

Not that anyone is that stupid to try it .... but be warned !

CAUTION!
The Causeway on the Miners Track has been damaged and you are Advised not to cross it. Please walk the PyG track from Pen y Pass as an alternative if you intend to go up to the summit of Snowdon.

Tough day today as John and I cooked breakfast for our guests for the last time in Tan Dinas. It was only right that Les was the last man through the door. He has been to us 23 times in the last ten years - but has been a guest here for over 40 years !
