Last sunrise of 2025 over Corbridge Bridge - and the Tyne did that thing where it turns into a ribbon of copper.

This crossing has been getting people over the river since 1674, and it’s still standing proud after surviving the great flood of 1771 - the only bridge in Tynedale to make it through. It’s had a few tweaks along the way (including a rebuilt arch in 1829 and widening in 1881), but it’s still unmistakably Corbridge.

I love how the village just sits behind it like it’s posing for the shot - stone, rooftops, river, and that soft winter light doing all the heavy lifting.
