Along with with a full house rewire we ended up doing a new bathroom/kitchen extension wiring. Was a very nice project for us and the end finish looks amazing. Job consisted of outdoor lights, cooker, sockets, lights, cupboard lights, and bathroom fan.

Although it is only the transition period and not in effect officially until 1st January 2016, all work carried out by JB's Electricians is complying with BS7671:2008 Amendment 3. One of the new regulations is consumer units. Due to fire regulations it is compulsory to have either metal consumer units fitted or a metal enclosure to contain potential fires. We have just fitted our first metal consumer unit to comply with this change.

For all those that did not know, last November an announcement as made for a new joint venture between the Electrical Contractors' Association (ECA) and the Electrical Safety Council (ESC). This joint venture saw the creation of the Electrical Safety Register - a definitive search tool for homeowners and clients to find registered electrical contractors.

For those that do not know who the ECA and ESC are, these are the organisations who operate ELECSA and NICEIC which JB's Electricians is part off.
