We’ve always liked to plant a tree or two around the farm. Some survive, and some don’t… the drought this year has not helped!

We’ve planted Oaks, Silverbirch, Horsechesnut over the years. We hope that they will provide something for the wildlife, some natural shade and shelter for the cattle of the future and improve the farm. It’s definitely a long term thing!

Here is a young Oak tree that we discovered in one of our many hedge rows and this year we have decided it will have the chance to become the next tree for the future 💪🏻 🌲

Just to add, this is not a government scheme or a carbon capture scheme, or anything like that. We don’t take any payments for doing stuff like this, we just like to do it 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Absolutely soaked feeding cattle this morning, but we couldn’t care less 🙌🏻

Over 70 consecutive days without any rain, a couple of days of drizzle but not enough to register a measurement and temperatures regularly above 35 degrees.

Thankyou to the rain gods up there. 19mm of pure wetness.

Let’s hope it brings some grass back to life 🤞🏻
