A sleeping baby Lennox means you work quick, just not as quick as in the video, if only! I do think timelapse makes you hurry up though 🤷🏼‍♀️

This is our Aigan room after getting a new carpet this week, the smallest of all our rooms, with a front lookout to the gardens and Ben Aigan further afield, and an en-suite with deep soak tub with shower over.

Best suited as a twin room, but can be configured as a superking if needed.

Can anyone spy me dropping the bed base? Working on your own has its challenges 🥴 💪

It’s ME, hi 👋 I’m Jodi - the woman behind &

After 15 years in the male dominated oil and gas industry I braved a change of career in 2022 to look after, focus and grow our main business Craigellachie Lodge and launch our new venture of The Patch, Speyside. Then just a year later in 2023 we added The Speyside Whisky Shop to our businesses.

Whisky, another male dominated industry, has been a steep learning curve for me, despite growing up in Craigellachie surrounded by distilleries. I have met some incredible ladies in the industry, all of which have at least one story of being snubbed, dismissed or mansplained all because they are female.

As a woman and a mother, I know us ladies certainly have had to work harder at some point in our life than our male counterparts, whether it’s to progress our careers further, fight for equal pay, or just to get the respect we deserve.

Today I celebrate International Women’s Day not just as a woman, but as a businesswoman and mother to three young boys.

So, to all those women who are breaking barriers, creating opportunities, and just being damn awesome, I raise a glass to you today! Tag your favourite ladies who are bossing it below 👇

♥️ Big news for 2026 ♥️

With welcoming our third baby boy Lennox in December 2025 we are choosing to scale back a little at Craigellachie Lodge during 2026.

‘They are only little once’, ‘you will never get these days back’, ‘blink and you will miss it’ are a few of the phrases we have heard time and time again, and with our eldest boy now 8 years old, we know only too well how true they are!

It’s so hard to get the balance right when you are self employed. We have three businesses including Craigellachie Lodge, & . With 3 children and most importantly living on site at the Lodge, we have made some tough decisions about taking some time back for ourselves and to enjoy our three boys this year.

What this means ⬇️

🍕 Dinners - for the duration of 2026 we will not be serving evening meals at the Lodge. We are so well catered for in the area, so we know our guests will be well looked after both in the village and further afield. We can help with reservations, and our top recommendations are on our website. Don’t worry, pizzas will make a return, just not this year!
🥃 Bar - our bar will be open from 4-8pm Sunday-Thursday, for residents and non-residents to enjoy our selection of whiskies, spirits, cocktails & wines.
📅 Weekend closures - we will be taking some time back to ourselves some weekends during the year (you will probably find us on the sidelines of the football pitch supporting our 8 year old Ramsay trying to become the next Ronaldo!). Those weekends that are open are booking up fast.
🥂 Events - our private events will be limited during 2026 - we have a few tastings booked in and an tasting for Spirit of Speyside whisky festival. The diary is open for 2027 events though, so please get in touch for a quote, or to discuss your event.

We hope you understand our decisions after nearly 12 years in business at Craigellachie Lodge.

Was great to host you all 🥃

A massive thank you to Kevin Christie for hosting our whisky tasting last night – what a brilliant evening! 🥃

We’re also hugely grateful to Scott and Jodi for welcoming us into the Craigellachie Lodge – the venue was a perfect fit and made the night even more special. 🙌

And of course, thanks to everyone who came along to the event and to support Craigellachie FC – great Balvenie drams, great laughs, and great company. 🍻⚽
