Getting everything tied down before storm Austen passes through tomorrow, it’s all very calm at the moment 🤞🏻

Ooh it’s getting very close to the end of another season, it feels strange that it’s possibly our last one at Woodpecker. A lovely review from Jane and Craig who made the most of this lovely October weather with long beach walks. I had to nip into Newquay yesterday morning and couldn’t miss the chance to take a few photos of Towan in the sunshine.

A moody autumn morning on Perranporth beach. I took these photos a couple of weeks ago when I went down for a swim and decided it was too rough, but forgot to post them. A contrast to the turquoise seas of the summer months but still stunning. Perranporth is perfect for a long walk along the beach followed by a hot chocolate and mahoosive slice of cake 😉

Oh how I love a nice review from lovely guests. Heather, Nick and Anne are returning guests and this time they brought their daughter Meg with them. The best part about owning Woodpecker is meeting so many lovely people ❤️

It’s beautiful down by the lake this morning, the mist is just lifting off the water and it’s so peaceful ❤️

It’s quite an emotional time for us as we’ve decided to put our lovely lodge up for sale after owning it for the last eleven years. We are planning to sell at the end of the season and are still honouring all this year’s bookings, so no need to worry if you have a holiday booked with us.

We’ve had a great time owning and managing Woodpecker, and have met many lovely people, but it’s time for us to relax now and maybe have a few new adventures, we’re not getting any younger, strangely enough. It would be amazing if one of our regular guests bought the lodge and then we’d know it was being loved as much as we’ve loved it. So if you’ve always fancied owning your own little bit of the Cornish dream why not drop me an email - [email protected]

Having said all this we still have one week available from the 29th August as a special offer at £795 for up to four people. So if you fancy a last stay by the lake before we sell please let me know.

Another lovely review from last weeks guests, it’s always nice to hear what a great time our guests have had and for them to share their recommendations ❤️
