“The Porthole is a home from home. Everything you need other than the food you eat is there waiting for you. From the owners leaving treats like flowers, chocolates, wine and dog treats as well as assorted teas, hot chocolate, biscuits etc. Attention to detail is amazing, we really enjoyed our stay at the Porthole, on top of all this the house is spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. Back in 2019 we made a week available at The Porthole as an auction prize at The Chronicle Sunshine Fund annual ball.

Eventually, (after several Covid false starts!) last week, the successful bidder, Cyrenne & her family got to stay at our Craster cottage.

Many thanks to young guest Cath for her thank you card as well as Cyrenne for a substantial donation to a very worthwhile local cause.

Oh & the village cafe, Shoreline Cafe Craster also gets an honourable mention too!

Bridget & her ”girls” arrived today for their fifth stay at The Porthole.
As well as the usual welcome gifts we made up a basket of local produce sourced from Turnbull's Northumbrian Food as a thank you for their continued support.
They are ladies of a “certain age” who don’t “do” social media so we wished them all the best for another cracking Crastercation at our cottage.
