Goodbye Becky 💛 🥺

Even as we write this, we still can’t quite believe it! Our wonderful Registrar Becky has decided it’s time to hang up her pen.🖊️

Becky has been part of our service for 9 years, beginning her journey as a Senior Marriage Officer, juggling ceremonies alongside coordinating our social media, moving on to Deputy Registrar and most recently the Registrar for Cheshire East.

As a team, we’ll miss Becky enormously - her bubbly personality, brilliant sense of humour, her love of all things weddings and her genuine care for her colleagues and friends. 💕

She has been a huge part of so many special moments, both for couples and for us here at Team YC.

What a beautiful day we enjoyed at the Wedding Fayre on Sunday ✨

With the hall bathed in spring sunshine ☀️ and the gardens in full bloom, it was the perfect setting for couples to start imagining their dream Cheshire wedding and we loved chatting all things ceremonies with so many couples. 💍 💕

The drawing room looked (and smelled!) incredible thanks to the lovely ladies at 🌺

…and we also had the joys of listening to the talented – who knew that Ibiza classics could be played on a 150 year old grand piano? 🎹 🪩

Our minds were blown by magician 🪄 and it was lovely to see our friend 💌 too.

When choosing ceremony music to be the soundtrack to your walk down the aisle, timing is key. 🧐 🎶

🎵 Keep in mind that a typical walk down the aisle is usually no more than 60–90 seconds, even with bridesmaids.

🎵 Choose a song that doesn’t take too long to build up or consider starting the track mid-way through.

🎵 If you do want to walk in at a specific moment, have a chat with your venue (as they will be coordinating your music and entrance) and/or your musician so you can time that all-important walk to perfection.
