The Yurt Retreat is part of an organic working dairy farm, supplying Waitrose. it is run by the third generation and the family have been farming the same land since 1955. First starting with two *5 holiday cottages the family felt that they wanted to create something that would allow visitors to really connect with the stunning landscape. After staying in Yurts on holiday themselves, they were ta

ken aback by the beauty of the structure and the incredible feeling of peace and tranquility that the space created....and so the yurt retreat was born.

We feel a growing responsibility to be thoughtful and sensitive with any alterations we make to this land.
The properties are labours of love. Outside they reflect their setting and inside there isn’t an object we don’t think beautiful. 🌾

“This land is special. I’ve always felt it. It’s not just the supported feeling of my feet following the log trodden paths of father and grandfather but the contours of the land.

Sheltered by a wall of chalk and flint hill to the south and then falling away flat as far as the eye can see across the Somerset Levels, the farm is both sheltered from the world while feeling light and open.

You are effortlessly connected to society whilst feeling like you have stepped off the map”
