🌠 Mark your calendars for a night of celestial magic!

On the night of August 12, 2025, the Perseid Meteor Shower will reach its spectacular peak, offering one of the most dazzling night-sky shows of the year. With up to 100 meteors per hour, the Perseids are famous for their bright, colorful streaks, occasional fireballs, and high speed.

🌌 What causes it?
The Perseids occur when Earth passes through debris left behind by Comet Swift-Tuttle. As these tiny particles enter Earth’s atmosphere at over 200,000 km/h, they burn up, creating glowing trails across the night sky.

🎯 When and where to watch:
• Best time: Midnight to dawn, August 12–13
• Best view: Dark skies, far from city lights
• Direction: Look northeast, but meteors will appear across the sky
• No telescope needed — just your eyes and patience!

🎨 Why do they glow in colors?
Meteor colors depend on their composition:
• Sodium = Yellow
• Iron = Yellow-white
• Magnesium = Blue-green
• Calcium = Violet
• Nickel = Green

✨ Tips for viewing:
• Let your eyes adjust to darkness (~20 minutes)
• Lie back and enjoy the show — no special equipment needed
• Bring a blanket and stay warm!
