It is I โ Benny the Sheep Dog, your official Park Reporter, Chief Happiness Officer, Head of Greetings and Professional Cuddle Expert โ reporting LIVE from my very favourite spot right by the main gate! ๐โจ Just so you know โ I am always available for tickles, ear scratches and tummy rubs whenever you see meโฆ I work very hard so I definitely deserve them! ๐
Oh my fluffy ears โ what an absolutely MAGICAL, WONDERFUL, EXCITING few weeks we have had here! Sorry I have updated but weโve had so much going on. PThere is so much good news, happy updates and fun adventures to tell you about โ I have been wagging my tail so hard I nearly knocked over the water bucket! Letโs dive straight inโฆ ๐คฉ
๐ฅณโจ VISITOR & EXPERIENCE UPDATES โ EVERYONE IS HAVING THE BEST TIME!
Oh this makes my heart so happy! ๐ฅฐ Our wonderful zookeeper experience groups have had the ABSOLUTE BEST TIME EVER โ they keep telling us it is the highlight of their whole year. Everyone leaves with big smiles and says it is simply amazing! ๐
Every single experience โ from feeding the animals, treks, talks and encounters โ has been absolutely LOVED by everyone. All the feedback is glowing, happy and full of big smiles. Even the donkey treks were wonderful fun โ everyone had a brilliant time! I have been watching and listening, and honestly? This is the happiest place on earth! ๐
And donโt worry โ every single animal is fed their favourite vegetable treats every single day, all homes are sparkling clean, beds are fresh and cosy, and everything is running perfectly โ I do my own patrol round every morning to check! โ

๐๐ LAMBS, GOATS & FRIENDS โ FLUFFY, CUTE & GROWING STRONG!
Oh my GOODNESS โ the fluffy friends department is EXPLODING with cuteness! ๐ฅน๐
We welcomed 5 beautiful pet lambs to the park โ they are so tiny, soft and sweet! At first they were a little shy with their bottles, but now? THEY HAVE ALL LEARNED TO DRINK! ๐ Even the smallest ones are lapping it up like champions โ Tiddlypops even drank a whole half bottle in one go! We have lovely warm shelters full of soft straw just for them, so they are toasty and snug.
We have new arrivals too! ๐
โข Little Flopsy โ our brand new lamb with the floppiest ears you ever saw! She is absolutely PERFECT and I have claimed her as my best new friend ๐๐
โข Two gorgeous new Soay lambs โ one boy, one girl, tiny and bouncy!
โข Two beautiful baby feral goats โ twin girls! Their mum is looking after them so well, cleaning them and feeding them perfectly โ they are tiny little balls of fluff! ๐๐ฅฐ
Maple the Goat update! ๐ One of his horns came off naturally โ and it is ALL GOOD NEWS! We gave him a nice gentle medicine spray, he is comfy and happy, and his other horn will come off too very soon. The BEST bit? We checked super carefully โ NO NEED FOR ANY BURNING AT ALL! He is strutting around like the superstar he is ๐
The baby goats are now absolute PROS on our treks โ they walk along so nicely, brave and confident, everyone loves seeing them! ๐ถโโ๏ธ๐
We have had a few little friends needing extra care โ Prince the lamb was feeling a bit poorly with a cough, but after some special medicine he is looking bright, happy and strong again! ๐ช We have a little โsick bayโ area which is warm and cosy with heatlamps and soft bedding, so anyone needing extra TLC gets all the love and care they need โ Flopsy even went in to keep Tiddles company so no one is ever lonely ๐ค
We have new friends coming too โ two more lambs are now drinking perfectly from bottles, so very soon you will be able to come and feed them too! How exciting is that?! ๐ฅณ
๐ฆ๐ฆ OTHER ANIMAL UPDATES โ EVERYONE IS HAPPY & WELL!
๐ฆ RED DEER
Our beautiful deer herd are changing with the seasons! They are busy shedding their lovely thick winter coats right now โ so they are looking a little bit scruffy and fluffy as their shiny summer fur grows through! ๐ We have lots of brilliant ideas to help them look their absolute best again soon, and we are sorting their paddocks and fences so they have plenty of space to roam and graze. Before long theyโll be looking sleek, glossy and majestic โ the kings and queens of the forest once more! ๐๐ฟ
๐ LEMURS
Our lemur family are all happy, healthy and having a wonderful time! ๐ต They love getting tasty treats and fun enrichment to play with โ they are always so curious and cheeky, and love saying hello to visitors! They had a lovely photo visit recently too โ they were very well behaved, just having a little quiet rest afterwards as you do after a busy day! ๐ธ๐ด
๐ RODGER THE RABBIT
Big move news! ๐๐ Rodger has moved into his wonderful new outdoor enclosure! We have filled it with all his favourite things, lovely hiding spots and fun things to explore โ and he LOVES it! He hopped straight in, claimed his favourite corner and is making himself right at home. He is happy, active and eating all his favourite snacks โ perfect!
๐ฆ EMU & BIRDS
That cheeky, adventurous emu! ๐ He kept sneaking out of the walkthrough area to go exploring โ but HERO KEEPER JAMIE stepped in! He has fitted BRAND NEW SUPER SMART automatic door closers! ๐ชโจ Now the gates close all by themselves nice and tight, so our curious bird stays safe and sound โ no more secret adventures!
Our runner ducks have moved house too โ into the lovely gift shop paddock! They have a big lovely bath to splash in, all their feet were checked and they are all happy, waddling and quacking away happily! ๐ฆ๐ฆ
Kookaburra had one quiet day where he wasnโt hungry โ but he is back to his normal self now, eating everything in sight and being his cheeky, happy self! ๐ฆ๐
๐๐ฆ CARNIVORES & FRIENDS
Our carnivore friends had a lovely tasty treat of duck โ and by the looks of things, they absolutely LOVED it! ๐ Everything was eaten up, so I think it was a 10/10 dinner!
Meerkats and coati also had duck for tea โ they were running around so happy, digging in and enjoying every bite! ๐ฆ๐พ
Marmosets and squirrel monkeys are all happy and busy โ we gave them lovely new ropes, extra feeding stations and coconut treats which they went absolutely CRAZY for! ๐ฅฅ๐ We tidied up their enclosures, swapped dirty ropes for fresh ones and they have lots of fun things to climb and swing on. They make lots of happy chattering noises when visitors come past โ saying hello! ๐๐
๐ฆ GUANACOS & ALPACAS
We are making brilliant progress with our guanaco friend โ we are getting a special large harness so we can do lots of training and walks together! Jasper the alpaca is getting a little bit sassy and cheeky lately โ so we are keeping a close eye on him and managing him safely! ๐ฆ๐ค
๐ HIGHLAND COWS & DONKEYS
Delilah the miniature Highland X is just the sweetest girl โ she loves meeting everyone during our experiences, such a gentle giant! ๐ฎ๐
Our 3 donkeys are all happy and well โ Moss is getting some extra care for a little bit of hair loss and a hoof crack, but he is doing fine and we are keeping a close eye on him. They love their treks and seeing all of you! ๐ซ๐
๐ ๏ธ๐ก PARK IMPROVEMENTS โ EVERYTHING GETTING BETTER & BETTER!
We have been working SO HARD to make everything perfect for you and all the animals! ๐ ๏ธโจ
โข New enclosures & homes: Rodgerโs new outdoor home is finished and ready; the new bird house is nearly done; the macaw house is being built and will be wonderful!
โข Fencing & repairs: We are fixing the deer fence so everyone is safe and secure; the white walkthrough gates are working perfectly now!
โข Cleaning & fresh bedding: Old straw and hay raked away, fresh clean straw everywhere; shelters mucked out and sparkling; Christmas area fully disinfected and fresh!
โข Planting & gardening: Weeding, pruning, filling rockeries and planters โ everything is growing green and lovely! ๐ฟ๐ธ
โข Incubator set up: We have our special humidity pump all set up perfectly at 70% โ all ready for new eggs and tiny chicks very soon! ๐ฃ๐ค

I have to give a HUGE shout out to all our wonderful team and amazing volunteers โ you are absolute SUPERSTARS! โญ
โข Fergus โ mucked out lamb shelters, poo picked paddocks, raked up old bedding and helped feed lambs โ such a hard worker!
โข Cory & Euan โ helped clear enclosures, fill planters and get everything tidy and ready!
โข Lee & George โ building, digging and making things wonderful!
โข All keepers โ feeding, cleaning, checking, caring, training, building, fixingโฆ you do it all, and every animal is so happy because of you! ๐ฅฐ

Honestly everyone โ this is the best place to be! Every day brings new happy news, fluffy friends, fun adventures and big smiles. All our animals are happy, healthy, safe and loved โ and we love seeing every single one of you coming to visit, learn and have fun with us!
