Sharing is caring, so we thought we’d share a few highlights from our late summer grazing menu.

A delicious little collection of dishes inspired by home, with flavours that speak of Cromer, Norfolk and the best of the season. Very much made for sharing. Although we won’t judge if you keep your favourite to yourself.

Our Local Community Fund is open for applications. 💛

Each year, 50% of the income from our 300 Club goes towards supporting local organisations and the brilliant work they do in and around Cromer. We have £1.3k up for grabs - this can go to one or multiple projects.

We’re now inviting local not-for-profit organisations to apply for funding towards projects that make a difference in our community.

Previous recipients include Cromer Life Saving Club, Cromer Methodist Cafe, Cromer Men’s Shed, Cromer Cares and Cromer Infant School - and we’d love to hear from the next organisations who could benefit.

If your organisation has a project that could use a little extra support, find out more and apply via the link in our bio.

Applications close 25 September 2026. Find out more: https://thegrovecromer.co.uk/local-community-fund/

Postcards from Cromer, pt. 5. 👜

If vintage treasures are your thing, Cromer is rather good at them. From newly opened must-visits bringing fresh energy to the scene, to emporiums packed with curiosities, pre-loved gems and things you didn’t know you needed until you saw them - there’s plenty to discover.

Take your time, have a rummage and see what finds its way home with you. After all, the best things are rarely the ones you went looking for.

And if you’re making a day of Cromer, don’t forget to make a stop at The Grove - the perfect place to pause, refuel and enjoy a little more of the good stuff.

Romesco Sauce; a true taste of late summer combining garden-fresh tomatoes, peppers and shallots.

Being served as part of our seasonal special of lamb cutlets, our Head Chef Sean O’Callaghan shares his recipe for this Spanish smokey sauce:

500g Red peppers
1kg Mixed tomatoes
3 large shallots
4tbsp Smoked paprika
2 handfuls of whole almonds
2 good gluts of sherry vinegar
4 large garlic bulbs peeled
Olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste

1. Roast red peppers at 220 for an hour, then peel and deseeded.
2. Cut tomatoes in half, quarter shallots and mix with garlic and smoked paprika on a roasting tray and roast until all moisture is removed.
3. Roast whole almonds at 180 for 8-12 minutes.
4. Mix all the elements in a blender, gently adding sherry vinegar and olive oil to reach desired consistency. Add seasoning to taste.

And voila, the perfect seasonal accompaniment to your August dishes… 🍅🫑🧅

Kind of chic...

Watching the sky change colour with a cocktail in hand.

Booking a midweek stay just because you can.

Taking a photo of your dinner because it genuinely deserves one.

Lingering over breakfast with nowhere to be.

Choosing the scenic route home.

Turns out, chic isn’t really about following the rules. It’s about making time for the little things that feel good.

Chic is what you make it.

If your version involves sea air, slow mornings, good food and a night (or two) away, we’ll be here.
