Mill House is ideally situated in the centre of Wells, nestled away amongst mature horse chestnut trees and sitting within its own private grounds. Seeped in history, Mill House once accompanied an enormous windmill. The miller and his family built their empire here, and lived within the fine building. Sadly during the war, the mill itself was removed to avoid it being targeted by German bombers,
however the house proudly remains and has been lovingly converted in to an 8 bedroom guest house. All of our rooms are large, with en suite facilities. Many have baths as well as showers. Several of the rooms benefit from fridges. All of the double and king rooms are south facing, and overlook the tranquil garden. We pride ourselves on delivering a hearty and delicious breakfast, using locally sourced ingredients. Mill house is an ideal spot for walkers and birdwatchers. We even have a resident tawny owl! Our garden and spacious rooms make for great family getaways also.
