🔧Handyperson wanted to join our project at Sutherland Lodge in Cropton Forest 🔧
We’re a family-owned independent business, currently renovating and developing Sutherland Lodge into a luxury retreat, and we’re looking for an extra pair of hands to help us bring everything together and get the business up and running. Initially, this will involve assisting the owners in the renovations, but will develop into more of a maintenance role once the Lodge is up and running.
đź“Ť Location: Sutherland Lodge, Cropton, Pickering, YO18 8ET
đź•’ Hours: 15 hours per week over 2 days
đź’· Salary: ÂŁ30,000 per annum pro rata
This is a varied, hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, can use their own initiative, and is happy to turn their hand to a wide range of tasks across the property.
The role will include general property maintenance, repairs, decorating, cleaning and gardening. It will also involve assisting the owner with basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry work, and supporting refurbishment and renovation projects. In the future it may also include helping to look after the welfare of a few animals.
As a small business we need someone who can be flexible around how they approach tasks, and the hours worked. You’ll need to be physically fit, comfortable working indoors and outdoors, assisting others and working independently.
A full UK driving licence is required.
Formal training in a relevant trade such as electrical work, carpentry or decorating would be an advantage, however an enthusiastic and experienced DIYer would also be considered for this role.

We’d love to hear from someone who takes pride in their work and would enjoy joining our project.
