Perfect for a relaxing holiday or perhaps you are interested in discovering more of the North East of Scotland, fishing, hillwalking or playing golf at one of the most famous, internationally known, links courses in Scotland. ay is located approximately 23 miles north of the city of Aberdeen known locally as the granite city and world wide as the oil capital of Europe. Cruden Bay is a costal village with beautiful walks along sea cliffs and beach. In days gone by the village was a popular retreat for the landed gentry, and the legacy of those days can often be seen within the village and the surrounding countryside. The village is home to a top class golf course, rated in the top 100 in the world, and as well as the fantastic beach which draws visitors from far and wide, the focal point for many, lies just to the north in the impressive ruin which was Slains Castle, the acknowledged inspiration for Brams Stoker’s “Dracula”. Port Erroll is the small harbour a short walk away from the cottage.
