🤩🐴🥁 ...and then there were four! 🥁🐴🤩

Today's Major General's Review 2026 saw the debut of Westfield Indiana Jones - better known as Jonesy, following in the footsteps of Mercury, Apollo, & Juno Drum Horses that started their journey here in Eglwyswrw - Pembrokeshire.

Jonesy arrived at Carnhuan as a foal with his Dam in the year of covid (2020) from the Westfield Stud in Yorkshire.

Jonesy from early on was noted for his calm temperament & was broken into ride & drive at a young age.

In 2024 the Cavalry visited the farm and the rest is history. Jonesy has taken to his new role with aplomb. Dyfed Shire Horse Farm are again very proud to see one of our Shires perform so well.

🤩🐴 New Foal Alert #3 🐴🤩

Proud to announce that foal number 3 of 2026 was born on Thursday 7th May.

A 6th c**t in a row!!

This young chap is a fighter. Our Dam Morgana had no milk/colostrum & the foal has been bottle fed every 2 hours since birth & the 1st few days were very worrying hence the delayed announcement, but he is getting stronger every day.

The foal has a surrogate mare as company & supplementary milk. This foal is becoming a cheeky chappie and loves seeing the milk bottle!

Visitors can meet all the foals this week at Dyfed Shire Horse Farm and the weather is great.

Come down to the farm this Bank Holiday Sunday evening for a night of music with Dave Owens!

With a cafe and licensed bar, entry is £5 per adult and free for children.

So come and join us as we sing the hits of the 60s and 70s from 7pm onwards!

One of our own in Hugh Thomas from near NewportPembs is singing on BGT this weekend. The Choir we believe comprises 34 of which a Magnificent Seven are Welsh. If you like em vote for them.

Dyfed Shire Horse Farm will be open over Whitsun & our new additions (foals) look forward to meeting guests. Campsite have some pitches left.
