Ideally situated to explore the northern Highlands just 5 miles from the NC500 in a peaceful, rural setting. Why stay on the Black Isle? The Black Isle is a peninsula north of Inverness surrounded by the Moray Firth to the south and the Cromarty Firth to the north, with beautiful beaches where you can watch bottlenose dolphins, quirky little seaside towns with cosy pubs and top quality restaurants
, fantastic forest walks, waterfalls and wildlife on our doorstep and hills and mountains to explore within a 20 minute drive and beyond. As the name suggests, we overlook north across the Cromarty Firth to the truly amazing and historic Fyrish Monument, along with the surrounding hills and Ben Wyvis off to the west. At just under 300 metres, it is well worth the climb to the Fyrish Monument, where you will find spectacular views across to the Black Isle and the neighbouring hills. For the more adventurous, Ben Wyvis is within a 45 minute drive and a fantastic climb with even more stunning views. The Black Isle is a great base for visiting the wider Highlands too, or as a starting or end point for the Route 500. Inverness and Loch Ness are less than 30 minutes away, the west coast just over an hour and the north coast just over two hours, it is all easily within reach and of course the scenery on your journey is stunning. Wildlife is in abundance – red squirrel, pine martens, roe deer, otters, badgers and with a myriad of birds, it’s a nature lover’s paradise. Why stay at Fyrish View? The Black Isle is believed locally to have its own microclimate – as we are surrounded by the sea and the hills, we tend to miss the worst of the inclement weather conditions well known to the Highlands – although we can’t guarantee perfect weather! But if you’re a weather geek (like me) the cloud formations over the hills and sunsets can be spectacular and we often get rainbows which end at the bottom of the garden. If you are looking for a romantic getaway or just peace and tranquillity, an abundance of wildlife, stunning scenery, hill and mountain walking, golden beaches, quirky seaside towns and forest walks, look no further – Fyrish View has it all on its doorstep. On the private patio, you can unwind, soak up the evening sun (if you’re lucky!) and enjoy the view of the mountains whilst listening to the birds. What's Included:
