We had a lovely day in Crail with my Mum, Elizabeth Shepherd Artist and my brother, lovely lunch and walk round her gorgeous garden, and visited her studio - so many beautiful prints and pastels ❤ We came home with this one, just love it 🙂 'The Country' etching with pastels. It is going on a kitchen wall in Holmlea Cottage :)

Holmlea Cottage is free from Monday 15th - Friday 19th this coming week! Book direct with us and get a great discount, from £99 per night for 2 guests, a wee bit more for 3/4 guests. Dogs welcome. Extreme wildfire warning for the whole of Scotland 🔥

There is an extreme risk of wildfire across the whole of Scotland from today until Saturday, 2 May.

We know many people across Scotland will be wanting to enjoy the good weather across the bank holiday weekend. We ask that everyone does so responsibly.

Wildfires have the potential to destroy property, landscapes and wildlife. All it takes is one spark to spread, causing a large amount of damage.

Remember, there’s no such thing as a 'harmless' fire.

'Hi Katy...We’ve had a fantastic time this weekend staying at your lovely cottage. Just savouring our last night here, it’s been a joy! The weather hasn’t dampened our spirits and we’ve managed to get out for some invigorating walks. Bella has loved it here too. Special thanks to you for allowing us to check in earlier on Friday. We took advantage of that and headed up to St Andrews. Today, we walked some of the Fife Coastal path out at Crail. Couldn’t resist treating ourselves to a wee chippy at Anstruther on the way back.
Finally, just a massive thank you for making our stay here feel like a home from home. You have provided more than everything we’ve needed. Such a beautiful place to stay!' 😊
