Dundee, 30 mins from Lindores: Dundee Science Centre is the standout for primary-age children, with hands on STEM exhibits and activities. Pair it with Discovery Point or the free V&A Museum. For October 2026, Dundee Contemporary Arts also has family art activities, Messy Play and an Aardman film season during the holidays 🎭

St Andrews, 30 mins from Lindores: St Andrews Aquarium is an easy wet-weather family outing, with penguins, meerkats, seals and aquarium exhibits. Add on a delicious lunch/hot chocolate in town and, if the rain eases - a quick blast along West Sands 🌊

For younger children: The Treehouse Play at Abernethy or Wee Kingdom Cupar Indoor Soft Play Centre give families a straightforward soft-play option without committing to a full museum day 👶🏼

For energetic older kids: Innoflate Dundee or TeamSport Go Karting Dundee are useful alternatives when the children need to burn energy rather than look around exhibits 🏎️

Perth, 35 mins from Lindores: Perth gives you another easy wet-weather direction, including museums/galleries and Wonder World Soft Play for younger families. For some energy burning fun, try trampolining at AirThrill 🤸🏼‍♀️

Maybe it’s time to put a little escape in the diary… 🍂

Autumn and Winter at Lindores are made for slowing down. Crisp walks through the Fife countryside, long evenings by the fire, a dip in your private hot tub and nowhere you need to rush off to.

Come as a couple, gather the family or bring a few friends and make yourselves at home in one of our four holiday houses - each with beautiful countryside views and its own private hot tub. The Arches also has it’s own private bespoke Scandinavian Sauna 🫧

We have a few gaps for Autumn stays and cosy Winter breaks, so if you’ve been thinking about getting away for a couple of nights, this might be your sign ✨

As a third-generation family farm, Lindores has evolved & grown over the years - but staying firmly rooted in farming and our local community has always been our passion 🐏

From seed to sip and farm to fork, we’re proud to work with and support local businesses, producers and suppliers, bringing together farming, food, drink and rural experiences.

Our aim is to make Lindores a rural destination where people can come together, connect with the countryside and enjoy everything this special part of Scotland has to offer 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Being recognised as a finalist means a great deal to us, and we’d like to say a huge thank you to our team, customers, suppliers, local businesses and everyone who has supported us along the way 🧡
