Evening in Kippford, the most beautiful place we know. Book your stay at Thornleigh to enjoy peace, relaxation and quality time. Availability from now until Christmas, don’t wait, you deserve this. Thornleigh is a characterful 1920s period house right on the estuary in one of the prettiest sailing villages on the Solway.

Sleeps 10 (4 bedrooms).

Dogs welcome – secure enclosed garden so they can wander safely.

Parking for 4 cars on the private drive.

Fast WiFi + Smart TV.

Large patio and mature gardens with stunning water views.

Kippford itself is tiny and lovely: two proper village pubs (The Anchor and The Mariner), a small shop and café, and you’re on the doorstep of miles of coastal path. The classic Kippford–Rockcliffe circular walk starts almost from the house. Forest trails and 7stanes mountain biking are a few minutes away.

Perfect for a family half-term, a friends’ gathering, or just a proper autumn escape with the dog. Cosy inside, huge views outside, and everything you need is either in the house or a short stroll down the village.
