Let's be honest, most dads don't need another pair of socks.

A proper Sunday lunch and a few hours around the table with the family is usually a much better shout.

We'll be serving our Sunday Lunch menu in the Tavern at Walworth Castle, with hand-carved roasts, Yorkshire puddings, seasonal vegetables, and plenty of gravy.

👨‍🍳 New chef and menus have arrived at Walworth Castle...

We're delighted to unveil our brand new menus, created by our new Head Chef, whose career has taken him from Michelin-starred restaurants and five-star hotels to working internationally as a private chef for high-profile clients.

Our new Castle Tavern and Terrace menus sit alongside dedicated Vegan and Dinner, Bed & Breakfast options, giving guests even more to discover when dining at Walworth Castle.

Expect dishes such as Sea Trout with Jersey Royals and broad beans, Red Wine Braised Ox Cheek, premium cuts from our Wood Fired Grill, fresh summer salads, generous sharing boards, and indulgent desserts.

Whether you're joining us for a relaxed lunch on the terrace, dinner in the tavern, or drinks and sharing boards with friends, we can't wait for you to experience what's new.

There’s been a few new additions around the grounds at Walworth Castle lately 👀

From the giant chess set beside the beer garden to the homemade wooden throne built by one of our maintenance team, we’ve been adding a few extra touches around the castle for summer.

The wild meadow’s slowly taking shape as well, with upcycled benches, bug hotels, and plenty of quieter spots to sit with a coffee when the sun’s out.

And of course, the Canadian Geese are back again this year raising their little ones around the grounds like they always do 🪿

They don’t mind a photograph or two, just make sure to give them a bit of space while they’re here.

Then once the evening rolls in, the woodland's firepit is not a bad place to end the day.

Quite easy to picture a few July evenings here.

Bank Holiday at the castle’s looking pretty good.
We're open all weekend!

Cocktails in the sunshine, food in the beer garden, a giant chess out on the lawn, and the castle lit up once the evening rolls in.

If you’re joining us for the Bank Holiday Garden Party at Walworth Castle on Monday, we’ve got live music, BBQ food, and a cocktail happy hour waiting in the grounds as well.

And if you fancy making a night of it, there’s still a little availability left on Monday evening.

Fish & chips, cocktails, Sunday lunch, and a Bank Holiday BBQ…

Friday calls for fish & chips and a cocktail or two in the beer garden or newly refurbished bar lounge.

Saturday’s for taking your time a bit. Afternoon tea in the grounds, lunch in the Tavern, maybe dinner later on.

Sunday means proper roasts, Yorkshire puddings done right, and a long lunch that turns into another drink afterwards.

And Monday? We’re bringing out the BBQ, live music, cocktails, and beer garden atmosphere for our Bank Holiday Garden Party in the castle grounds.

If you fancy making a weekend of it, there’s still a little availability left for this Bank Holiday weekend, and July stays at the castle are looking pretty good as well.

We’re bringing the BBQ out into the gardens at Walworth Castle this May Bank Holiday for an afternoon of live music, good food, and drinks in the sunshine.
